Pigalle is Paris's most famous adult entertainment district, a neighbourhood straddling the boundary between the 9th and 18th arrondissements at the foot of the Montmartre hill, where the broad Boulevard de Clichy and the narrower Boulevard de Rochechouart form the main axes of a district that has been associated with adult entertainment, artistic bohemianism, and Parisian nightlife for well over a century.
