Klub Verboten 10 Years: SOFT London 2026

Klub Verboten turns ten, and marks it with two nights at STEELYARD on Allhallows Lane in the City of London. Friday 4 September 2026 is the SOFT night — doors 22:00, last entry 02:00 — the gentler half of the anniversary pair, with its harder counterpart the following evening.

The music runs as a timed programme: SORAYA opens at 22:00 with a house set, WES BAGGALEY takes over at 00:30, STEFFI at 02:00 and OLIVER SCALA closes from 04:00.

Klub Verboten launched in 2016 and describes itself as a provider of contemporary pro-pervert spaces — a grassroots movement that grew into tens of thousands of members and is supported by Arts Council England. It runs in London, Berlin and on tour, and is queer-led.

The organiser's own anniversary statement is worth reading if you want a sense of the decade behind this party: ten years of being sued, policed, deplatformed by Meta and removed from other platforms, alongside training the UK police licensing team, two international awards, keynotes on pro-perv spaces across Europe, and — their figure — sixty thousand people brought into a conversation about consent, boundaries and personal space.

Klub Verboten enforces a kink dress code at the door and does not refund people it turns away. If you are new to the space the organiser's advice is to stick to latex, rubber, PVC, leather or lace — and it is explicit that the outfit does not need to be expensive, only authentic. Fancy dress, fantasy, cosplay, baroque, steampunk, military, head-to-toe cotton, suits, cotton underwear and jeans are all listed as rejected. Their rule of thumb: if you could wear it in a cocktail bar, you can't wear it at a kink club.
