The lady at the front desk was the worst! I was standing in front of the room selection panel, wondering which of the two rooms there were available, when suddenly the door to what appeared to be a staff room opened and she said with a sullen look on her face, "We only have two rooms left! They're year-end rates, so they're expensive! Please go somewhere else!" I wasn't even worried about the price, so I was annoyed by what she said. Afterwards, I wanted to call the company headquarters, not to complain, but to say, "This happened, and I'm in trouble..." They just said "Please wait a moment" twice, and eventually hung up on me lol. I recommend you don't stay here. The rooms are dirty, too.

I arrived at the hotel on a weekday at 8 PM, but it was fully booked and there was only one couple waiting. There was only one older man talking on the extension. The older man continued talking for a few minutes, but when he finished, I decided to wait on a different extension and called him. Suddenly, a man on the extension said, "I told you there were no rooms available." Maybe they thought I was an older man? (You can tell by looking at the extension number.) Based on his attitude, I assumed they wouldn't have a room ready, so I asked, "Does that mean there are no rooms available today?" He firmly replied, "Yes!" The website does say that there are "X" rooms currently being prepared, but I was frustrated (the hotel wants to maintain its atmosphere) and felt bad for my partner. I apologized, "Sorry for choosing a strange place," and we went to another hotel.

I used this hotel after attending Universal Studios Japan's Halloween event. Since I'm from out of town, I had to look up the location to find it. Because of the time of year, nearby hotels were fully booked. I was a little worried about the receptionist (as mentioned in online reviews), but when I went in, I saw a touch panel. I was relieved, but there was only one room, and given the time, I went in. I think it was on the third floor. I was sweaty, so I opened the door to take a bath, only to find a tiny sink and shower room. I couldn't believe it. And there was no chair or basin, just a showerhead. I can understand a small bathtub in a city, but still... I definitely won't go back here the next time I visit Universal Studios Japan. Also, they should clean the ventilation fan in the room. It was so dirty with dust you couldn't even see the hole, and when they ventilated it was incredibly noisy, making it impossible to sleep. What's puzzling is that the toilet is in a separate room, unlike the sink and shower room.

The woman at the front desk has an absolutely terrible attitude! She's brusque and acts like she's completely bored! Because of that woman at the front desk, I've come to hate this hotel, which I've used many times before. I can't sleep at night wondering why someone like that was hired. There must be at least 90 million people who are more suited to the job. We don't need a front desk woman who makes other people uncomfortable. If she gets fired, I might use the hotel again. Because of her, I can no longer use this hotel...

The exterior is nice. The room is also nice but small. I stayed in room 406. The sofa in the room is small and seems to be for one person, but why would a hotel of this type have a single-seater sofa? And there is only one sofa, so only one person can sit on it. Are they expecting me to sit on their lap? I suppose that could be seen as thoughtfulness. Judging from the photos on the website, it is a two-seater sofa. The sink is inside the room, which is a strange placement when you think about it. I wonder if they have made too many rooms. Nail clippers, which are usually provided free of charge, are sold here for 200 yen. On the other hand, lotion, which is usually charged for, is provided free of charge in the bathroom. Next, what is interesting is the pricing system. There are four ranks of rooms, A, B, C and D, and the price is set according to the rank. Rank D is the most expensive. You select your desired room using a touch panel at the reception, but if you filter for room 406 as rank C, the price for rank C is displayed, and if you filter for rank D, the price for rank D is displayed. It is a confusing system. If you are checking in alone, you are required to deposit 10,000 yen in cash as a deposit. It seems the deposit is offset during settlement, but I'm not sure what it's for. In this case, it's probably not possible to pay by credit card. Regarding room service: Welcome drinks are either alcoholic or soft drinks, and while there are teas, they are only available hot; there are no cola or orange juice. There is a minimum selection of alcoholic beverages. The staff are polite. The hotel is clean. When selecting a room on the touch panel upon arrival, a membership card is issued free of charge, allowing you to use member prices from that day onward. I appreciate this point. However, considering the small size of the room and the ambiguity of the pricing system, as mentioned earlier, it deserves 3 stars. As an aside, when I was leaving, a couple who looked like high school or college students were hesitating whether to enter the hotel entrance. The man was pushing her forward, but the woman seemed hesitant. It was a sweet and endearing sight.
