IntimateParties Group — IPG — is a lifestyle event company run by Maddy and Joe that produces hotel takeovers in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It holds no premises. Its own account of itself is a group of experienced event hosts and planners, club DJs, professional comics, venue owners and mainstream entertainers, and it draws on Brazilian, Latin, Portuguese, Caribbean and American influences.

The takeover is the format it is known for. IPG books an entire hotel for a weekend rather than a room in a club, which is what lets a night run from an afternoon pool party through trivia, demos, speed dating and a ballroom dance floor to themed play rooms and a heated indoor pool open until the small hours. By the company's own figures a hotel takeover averages 150 to 200 couples; its house parties run at 30 to 40.

The rules are firm and published. Everyone must be 21 or over with no exceptions and IDs are checked; there is no unauthorised photography; drink is bring-your-own, with mixers, ice and cups supplied and nothing sold by the hosts except where a venue runs its own bar. Dress is flexible — club style or neat casual unless a theme says otherwise. The average guest is 35.

Alongside its own swingers events IPG co-produces Kink Unlimited with TAG, a woman-owned BDSM group, and that strand is run as a separate thing with a separate door: a full dungeon, BDSM stations, and a vetting process for single men and for trans and crossdressing guests.
