Miami Velvet is a private adult lifestyle nightclub in central Miami-Dade, describing itself as the largest in Florida, with more than 20,000 square feet of on-premise space for open-minded couples, select singles and curious newcomers. Many guests come for the atmosphere rather than to swing: themed parties, DJs, entertainers, a dance floor, lounge areas and private spaces, including playrooms, a kinky lounge and a shower room.

The club opens on Friday nights from 10 pm to 4 am and on Saturday nights from 10 pm to 5 am; single men are welcome on Fridays only, and Saturdays are for couples and single women. New members must check in by 3 am. Visiting couples have the membership fee waived on their first visit and pay the night's entry at the door. The building, topped with purple neon and a large flagpole, sits about 100 yards off the Palmetto Expressway just north of NW 36th Street, some 14 miles from South Beach.
