Midweek Playground — September 2026

A midweek BDSM community evening at the Catonium in Hamburg on Wednesday 23 September 2026, from 6.30 pm to midnight, with admission until 8.30 pm. The organiser describes it as an event built around what the BDSM community wants rather than a party: room to play, to talk, and for aftercare and bondage.

The rooms are named: a bar area called Red Hall where BDSM and sexual interaction are not allowed, a communication area in a pagoda tent with an introduction game, a large BDSM play area over three floors called Romanik, a cuddle and bondage lounge called Gothik for quiet, restraint and aftercare with no sex and no loud interaction, and a bookable XXL private room called Asensio with a St Andrew's cross, a punishment horse, a cage and a bed for groups of two to eight. Play furniture is provided but the organiser asks you to bring your own toys.

There is no dress code — the organiser says to come in whatever you feel best in, everyday clothes included. An awareness team wears glowing cat ears. Facilities include toilets for everyone, lubricant, disinfectant, towels, two showers, a cloakroom at 2 euro, lockers at 5 euro with a 30 euro deposit, and a bar; the Catonium sells pizza. Cash and cards are both taken.

Tickets run in three tiers: early bird at 14 euro reduced and 19 regular, advance at 19 and 24, and — if there are door sales at all, which the organiser marks as conditional — 25 and 30 euro. Places are limited so that the play area stays usable, and the organiser says the absence of spontaneous door sales is itself a safety measure. Those are advertised figures rather than a quoted rate; confirm when you book.
