🍸 Go-Go BarA fee paid to the bar, not to the dancer, so she can leave before her shift ends. It compensates the venue for the lost stage time, and it is entirely separate from whatever is agreed with the dancer herself.
Conflating the two is the single most common mistake visitors make. The fine settles the venue's claim on the rest of her shift; anything beyond that is a separate matter, agreed separately and directly. The same system operates in beer bars as well as go-go bars.
