Boudoir Bizarre calls itself the last real old-school fetish party in the Netherlands, and it has earned the right to the claim: it has been running for close to twenty years, and the edition held in September 2026 is its forty-fourth. Three editions a year, always in Amsterdam, always the same formula — which is precisely the point in a scene where concepts are relaunched every other season.

Old-school here has a specific meaning. The party is built around real fetish shows rather than a themed costume brief, with techno, house and trance on the dance floors, sideshows and walkaround performers working the room, playrooms and lounge areas, a fetish shop on site, lockers and a proper dressing room. The audience it invites is deliberately broad and listed in full on its own flyers: latex lovers, fetishists, BDSM players, doms, subs and switches, swingers, perverts, cybers and goths, straight, gay and bi, TV and TS. The dress code is where the old-school character is enforced. Rubber, leather and PVC, naughty burlesque, fetish TV, erotic gothic, fantastic plastic, uniform, wetlook or SM playgear. Absolutely no jeans, no gym wear, no casual clothes — and not simply nude either. The Door Bitch has the final word, and there are no refunds for anyone who gets the dress code wrong.
