We went at 10 PM because we had previously spoken to someone via WhatsApp asking about the Pharaoh room. Upon arrival, they told us that until 1 AM, the only stay was 3 hours, and that we should return at 1 AM to check into the Pharaoh room for the night. We killed time until 1 AM, and when we arrived at 12:53 AM, they rudely told us we hadn't understood that check-in was at 1 AM. We waited the full 7 minutes parked at the door until 1:02 AM, and then they came back to attend to us and said, "Sorry, the room isn't available. I only have one room (about four categories lower) that will be available in 20 minutes." Were they kidding me? On top of that, both of them were rude; it sounded like they were arguing. What would it have cost them to tell us that the room we wanted was occupied? They made us wait there for nothing at the door. It was a joke, terrible.
The first time I went, I asked for the standard room, everything was fine, perfect, we left satisfied. The second time, they didn't have the room available and gave us the standard room. We entered, and the room looked like it was from the 1800s. There was a lot of outside noise, the maids were making noise with their cart all night, and they would gossip at the door of the room. You can't sleep because you can hear the couples next door having sex; it's like they're inside the room. The bathroom toilet smelled rotten. On top of that, the next day it was 12 noon because we were staying overnight, and it's supposed to be from 8 pm to 2 pm, and at 12 am the maid came into the room without knocking. Luckily, we were watching TV; apparently, she got the room mixed up. We decided to give it another chance, and the same thing happened again. The rooms we wanted weren't available, even though we went on a weekday at 8 pm. They gave us the comfort room, the ugliest room I've ever seen. We could hear all the outside noise, the jacuzzi water was freezing cold, and the air conditioning kept turning off. When I asked for the We ordered breakfast at 10:45, and they told us it was past the permitted time. We're never going back. Oh, and all three times we went, it was under construction.
The experience was acceptable. I went on Sunday, March 29th.
I read several reviews and hesitated to go. I finally went because it was the closest option to Vélez Sarsfield Stadium, where we were going for a concert.
We chose the comfort room with a private garage and used the overnight service, which includes breakfast. The idea was to relax.
We were given room 26, which was very large and had a nice nautical theme.
It includes shampoo and conditioner, a comb, toothbrushes, and foam toothpaste.
There was also shower gel for the jacuzzi, which we didn't use.
There were two hand towels and two large bath towels.
Everything was clean and smelled nice.
The breakfast was delicious: two coffees with milk, two ham and cheese croissants, two slices of toast with butter and/or jam, and two small freshly squeezed orange juices. Very tasty!
The woman who said goodbye to us in the morning was friendly.
To improve:
The young man who greeted us was very curt and didn't explain much. The customer service was poor. There was no option to change the tea or coffee at breakfast.
There's no blanket on the bed. Just a sheet. I understand most people are only there for a short stay, but it should still have one.
The pillows are extremely hard. They feel like bar stools. There's a lot of external noise! From cars, other guests, and people working.
My partner and I had our first time in a motel. Only the two cheapest rooms were available (Prize and Class, I think), and we stayed in room 19. It had a jacuzzi, not very big but comfortable. The intensity of the hydromassage couldn't be adjusted and was too strong. The shower was big enough for about four people, but it was difficult to adjust the temperature properly, and the water would suddenly get colder or hotter. When you showered, you inevitably soaked the floor because water leaked under the shower screen. The toilet and bidet were fine. The bed was very hard, but it was very large, which was good. The pillows were extremely hard (the bed was fine, the pillows weren't). My girlfriend was cold because there was nothing to cover herself with besides the sheet. The air conditioning was good, but it kept going from 21 to 25 degrees Celsius, so you couldn't use 23 degrees, for example. All the lights were yellow and not dimmable. There weren't any colored lights. There was only one condom. The sink was fine, but there was no comb, so I had to ask for one. There was only one foam bar, and I had to ask for more. There wasn't much shampoo or conditioner either (only two of each). The TV was large, 65 inches; it was a Smart TV, but from the control panel (there's no remote control) you could only access broadcast channels (I could access YouTube from my phone, but not much else). Also, other people repeatedly tried to connect to my TV. I think there were too few towels, two large and two small; when I asked for more, they didn't bring any. In the bathroom and jacuzzi area, they didn't provide anything to help dry the floor, so unfortunately, we had to use one of the towels; otherwise, everything would have been wet. The cleanliness seemed okay at first glance.
The lights, radio, TV, and other room amenities were controlled by a panel attached to the bed, which was a bit annoying; at bedtime, the light was unbearable, and I couldn't find a way to turn it off. There weren't many electrical outlets.
The food was amazing, and I think the prices were reasonable. We ordered fries with cheddar. They didn't look very appetizing, but when we ate them, they were fantastic (they were McCain-style fries, cooked perfectly without reheated oil, and the cheddar was delicious). Breakfast was included with the overnight stay; the ham and cheese croissants were delicious, and we ordered an extra portion because they were so good. The coffee and toast were good, and the juice was tasty. Everything was very private, but in our room, orders were delivered through the door. It was a little embarrassing to have them open the door, especially if you were naked, haha. But luckily, it didn't happen. Deliveries were slower depending on the time of day; it seemed like there was only one person working because if you called and placed an order, you wouldn't get a response if you called back later. Parking is right outside your room. The service was quite poor. I understand they might be tired or in a bad mood. I feel we were quite polite and didn't receive the same in return. From the moment we walked in to ask about the rooms, they seemed to want to get rid of us (they answered a common question incorrectly). They didn't make any effort to understand our requests or inquiries on the phone; for example, we ordered a portion of fries with cheddar, and then a little while later we asked for shampoo. They immediately hung up without making sure they understood the order, which led to them bringing us two portions of fries and having to ask for the shampoo again. Even so, I would return and try the other rooms. We could hear external noises in the room all night, from both the staff and the other guests. They were quite loud, and we didn't feel any privacy because we thought they would hear us anyway. Clarification: when I mention, for example, that the room didn't have colored lights, I know that wasn't promised. I'm simply giving a complete review. Thank you!
Great hotel. A long standing classic.
