My partner and I wanted to try it out of curiosity. We went for an overnight stay, and since several rooms were occupied, we ended up choosing Noche Bs As for 48,000 pesos. Honestly, I don't know how reasonable the price is. Essentially, what ruined it for us was the service. I don't know if it was just a bad day, but both the guy who checked us in and the girl who was there when we checked out seemed unfriendly or unwilling to work. Basically, after we had paid for the room, we went to take the elevator, and only after 5 minutes, when my partner left because the elevator wouldn't start/the buttons weren't working, did the receptionist tell us that some floors weren't working and that pressing another button didn't work. We pressed it, and it didn't start. He repeated the same thing and told us to close the door properly. It went on like that for a while until another couple came in to ask for a room, and the receptionist, as if annoyed (even though he could have told us about the elevator problems earlier), left his post to come and get the elevator working.
Later in the morning it's more of a minor detail, but it didn't happen to me in other places. What caught my attention was that the small door where breakfast is served is so tiny that they have to knock so you can go and hold the door with the person bringing it. Luckily I was wearing clothes, but otherwise it would have been embarrassing to have to open the handrail naked, haha.
It's always a lifesaver! Having an overnight stay on weekends that starts earlier than most means we can finish the night faster! The only downside is the lack of variety or difference between rooms (the last time I went we asked for one of the most expensive and honestly, we didn't see any difference at all), but everything else was great!
The good: Clean room, Saturday overnight stays start earlier than the rest of the week, and the price is quite reasonable.
The bad: The room was very hot; you have to ask reception to turn on the air conditioning. Once it was on, the room was freezing, and there were no blankets. No one came to ask for them, even after we tried for an hour straight. The music was terrible. There were also no toothbrushes or toothpaste.
Located between Sucre and La Pampa streets, near the Barrancas de Belgrano C train station, this hotel offers a 15% discount coupon for cash payments, for rooms in the second category and above. The entrance has a step with a metal baseboard. The hotel has approximately six or seven floors. The receptionist took our blindness in stride. He showed us to our room and came up several times. Upon arrival, he turned off the music at our request, switching off the circuit breaker, then turned it back on and brought us an order.
We stayed on the fourth floor, accessible by elevator with Braille buttons.
The room layout was inconvenient: the sink and hairdryer were behind the bathroom door. The toilet and bidet, with a disinfectant seal, were separated by two wooden swing doors. The walk-in shower had traditional faucets. The bed was uncomfortable: on either side were bedside tables, one with a movable ashtray and the other with the telephone.
There was also an erotic chair, a breakfast bar with a fixed ashtray and two stools, and two metal hooks, each with two tabs.
The control panel had physical buttons for music and lighting. The television was a non-smart plasma, with a remote control. The window air conditioner was controlled from reception. The room's heating was on, even though the outside temperature was around 19°C, but the climate control was comfortable: we felt neither too hot nor too cold. The sliding window had a mosquito net and overlooked an interior courtyard. Next to one of the bedside tables was a conveniently located electrical outlet, which was appreciated for preventing electronic devices from getting wet. There was also a trash can with a liner and toilet paper. The hygiene products provided were: two sachets of shampoo, two of conditioner, two individual soaps, a comb, a hairnet, and a condom. There were no oral hygiene products.
The establishment offers food service and also allows guests to bring their own food. In our case, we ordered a breaded cutlet sandwich, which was mass-produced but generously sized and decently tasty. Payment was made by card via a POS terminal and, as I mentioned before, had to be paid at the time of service, as they do not allow payment upon departure.
Breakfast was standard: two croissants warmed on-site, two herbal teas (they respected our preferences), and two glasses of tap water. The small touch was appreciated, although it could be improved by offering a cold tea or juice. The plastic tray they brought us was quite large, making it awkward to receive it through the pass-through, as it was impossible to avoid eye contact with the person delivering it. It's not the staff's fault, but it would be advisable to arrange the items differently, for example, placing the croissants on the cups to reduce the size of the tray and avoid awkward situations.
The place doesn't have any pre-recorded announcements, which is appreciated for the tranquility it offers. We were able to use all the amenities without difficulty, as all the controls were physical buttons, something we especially appreciated. Overnight stays, from Sunday to Thursday, are from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM, which is more flexible than many other places in the industry. Regarding prices, even with the discount included, the place is approximately 60% more expensive than other similar establishments, so it's worth taking this into account before going.
In short, it's a well-located option, with good accessibility and service, but with several aspects to consider: the need to pay in cash to get the discount, the immediate payment for purchases, the bathroom layout, and the way breakfast is served. Even so, the staff's good treatment, the general cleanliness, and the fact that the facilities are functional for blind people thanks to the use of physical buttons and Braille signage are appreciated.
