Nimhneach is a fetish and BDSM club night in Dublin, running since 2005 by its own flyer, and describes itself as an alternative night. It takes over The Sound House, the first floor of The Wiley Fox on Eden Quay, and is self-contained: a bar, a club area, play equipment, DJs, a smoking area, a changing room, a cloakroom and toilets, with — in the organiser's words — no mixing with vanilla customers.

The club states its values plainly: open to everyone aged 18 and over, inclusive of all genders and sexual orientations, with safe, sane and consensual as core values and a safe-space ethos. It describes the night as one for socialising with other kinky people and playing if you wish, and says directly that there is no pressure to play.

Two limits come from the premises rather than the club: because it operates in a licensed venue it cannot permit full frontal nudity or sex on site. Drugs are strictly prohibited.

The dress code is compulsory and decided by the door crew — vinyl, PVC, rubber, latex and fancy lingerie — and the organiser is blunt that you will not get in without passing it. It keeps a detailed dress-code page and asks that specific questions go there first.
