The Dark Side of the Moon

Algarve After Dark's Halloween party, The Dark Side of the Moon, takes place on Saturday 31 October 2026 at a secret hilltop location near Salir, in the Algarve hills, from 9 pm until 3 am. Guests are admitted only between 9 and 11 pm, and the exact address is sent about a day before.

It is billed as a lounge party rather than a dance night: candlelit corners, slow and hypnotic music, open playrooms with some private nooks, a cosy lounge and a large terrace with views over the Algarve. A limited selection of drinks (sangria, beer, white and green wine), soft drinks, tea, coffee and light snacks are included, and guests may bring their own bottles. There are no secure lockers.

The dress code is spooky, sexy and fun, with an effort expected and no sportswear or jeans; after midnight the organisers encourage everyone down to lingerie or underwear. The party is private and invitation-only, for over-18s, open to couples, single women and single men, though places for single men are limited and handled through a waiting list.

Places are reserved by applying through the organisers' own site, and a contribution towards the venue and refreshments is charged at reservation; no figure is published. There is no payment at the door, and only reservation holders get in.
