Wasteland Amsterdam 2026

Wasteland Amsterdam — the edition that gave the event its reputation — returns to the North Sea Venue on the Hemkade in Zaandam on Saturday 28 November 2026, running from 22:00 to 06:00. This is the flagship: the largest of Wasteland's nights, and the one the international crowd flies in for.

The scale is what separates it from a club night. Six show stages and four dance floors are built inside the hall, with visuals, special effects, a dungeon, lockers and changing space, parking, first aid, lounge and chill-out areas, massage, body painting and catering. Programming runs from opera singers to suspension performers and circus acts, and every edition is given a theme so that the décor and the outfits escalate together. Music is house, tech house and techno on the main floors, with the smaller areas used for electro, disco, classical and live performance in support of the theme. Wasteland's own FAQ answers the question people ask about an event of this size: it is not a sex party. Sex is not excluded — the organisation applauds freedom and fantasy, and the play spaces are there — but the event is built as a production, and the environment is deliberately a safe and respectful one. The dress code carries most of the weight in achieving that: creativity and fantasy rather than plain rubber, checked at the door by the Doorbitches, no refunds for anyone turned away.
