Rainbow 5 ligger på mittenvåningen i Nana Plaza, det trevånings komplexet på Sukhumvit Soi 4 som är det största av Bangkoks underhållningsområden för vuxna. Det var tidigare känt som Rainbow 4 och innan dess som R&B Bar.

Nana Plaza rymmer flera dussin go-go barer på sina tre nivåer runt en central innergård, ungefär 300 meter från Nana BTS-station i Khlong Toei-distriktet. Rainbow-barerna är bland de största lokalen i komplexet.

The following is about the former Rainbow 4, which is now operating as Rainbow 5. As several other reviewers have mentioned, some of the waitress here provide almost no service yet aggressively push for drinks and tips. When you politely decline, they get upset and even start acting in a harassing manner. It’s a shame because many of the dancers are genuinely nice, but this behavior from certain staff makes me not want to return. I wonder if the management is aware of what’s happening.

Be careful with the Rainbow on the first floor. They have set a minimum spending limit of 1000 baht for credit card payments. When you pay with cash, they constantly bring back around 100–150 baht less in change. When I mentioned the issue, I was told that I could leave the place. Also many similar reviews about the Rainbow bars.

Visited with my partner (Irish, used to drinking Jameson). He had 3 drinks. Staff repeatedly pushed us to buy “lady drinks.” We agreed to a limited number, but the table situation became confusing. The bill included more drinks than we clearly accepted, and staff insisted he had agreed. The environment felt set up to pressure spending and blur what is actually ordered. After leaving, my partner became disoriented, nauseous, and vomited. The next morning he had no memory after leaving the venue. This reaction did not match the amount he drank. Serious concerns about billing transparency and drink safety. Recommendation: avoid if you want a clear, controlled experience.

I had a totally different experience then some of the others. All the girls on state were super cute. The cutest bar girls I saw on my 3 week trip to Thailand! They ushered me in quickly, no cover charge. I orded a beer and slowly checked out the atmosphere. Later I talked to the Mamasan and she brought the girl I was interested in to the table and we had some drinks. She didn't say "No" to me like at other places. All the Mamasans were really nice! expensive experience yes, but to live out a dream is priceless!
