I've only ever been twice in my life, but each time I was met with acceptance and comraderie. They regularly host informational seminars aimed at newer players and events targeting more those more experienced.

I love K101. Everyone should go. A week later, I especially liked the different colored wristbands to help the monitors do their job. I wish the visitors' waiver was online when I rsvp'd. It was 40 minutes to get in. I was actually in line from 8:30pm to 9:30pm, with twelve people before me. Doors opened at 9. I did decide to never see that person again though, because of inability to have a friendly conversation in line. Some wannabe domly dom was lining us up and separated our group into members and guests. Since I moved, I didn't renew. I got there so early because parking stinks. Close enough to metro, but I have dogs who don't need to wait for me to mess around with public transportation delays. I wish those industrial warehouses or whatever allowed people to park there. Those businesses seem closed at night.

Went there for an event, was not very new people friendly once you got past the doors. Was there for an event which normally allows for new people to get involved but seemed the mostly everyone was there was only “playing” or interacting with people they knew, obviously I wasn’t expecting to have people playing with me just cus I was there, just did not feel like an option there. Did not feel very welcoming in general. Drinks were ok

First off-- the one star review is clearly a lie. I went for the first time last week not really sure what to expect. First impressions...The place is spotlessly clean. The entire staff is incredibly professional and friendly. Front door person is fantastic. The team monitors everything. I felt very safe. The night I was there it was mostly hetero couples. Plenty of play space. People are very respectful of each other. Interesting demonstrations. Very sane and responsible. I will not hesitate to go again.
