Extremely disappointed with my experience here it was a complete waste of time and the overall vibe of this place is underwhelming to say the least, do yourself a favor and avoid this place if you are looking for a decent night out.

I don't recommend it—especially not if you're a tourist. They are rude and completely lacking in manners when dealing with women. They demand strict formality: if you don't meet the dress code, they insult you at the entrance and won't even let you in. They claim to close at 4 AM, but it's obvious that no one goes there. By 1 AM, they’re already telling you they’re closing in 10 minutes and that you shouldn't even bother coming back. Now I understand why the place is dead. DON'T GO. ---- Your response only confirms the exact arrogance and lack of empathy we experienced at your door. Trying to hide your staff's poor manners and insults behind a 'dress code' or a 'legal framework' is laughably transparent. True elegance is found in manners, not in clothing—something your staff (and owners) clearly lacks. ​Don't worry, it will absolutely 'not be our case' to return. We will make sure the travel community knows exactly what kind of 'warm welcome' you actually offer. Your venue was dead at 1:00 AM for a reason.

The experience at Taken depends a lot on who is there and who you are with. It feels generally safe as a woman, but I’d make sure the man you are with can hold the space for you and keep unwanted attention away. There is a bar and dance floor with tables to sit and a small but well organized back area for playing. I met the most gorgeous woman on my visit, I’d go back just for the chance to run into her again!

Worst experience ever. This venue is outright discriminatory, blatantly misogynistic, and completely stuck in the past. The fact that women are told they must wear “sexy high heels” in order to be let in is beyond absurd — it’s degrading, objectifying, and insulting to anyone who values self-expression and respect. Clubs should create spaces where people feel safe and free, not dictate archaic standards of what women “should” look like to be allowed entry. To make matters worse, the staff’s behaviour was appalling. Instead of hospitality or even basic politeness, I was met with rudeness and hostility, unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. Add to that their openly exclusionary policy that only man–woman couples are allowed, while throuples or queer constellations are rejected, and you get a place that feels more like a relic of some misogynistic past century than a modern venue that supposedly caters to open-minded communities. I’m from Berlin, I regularly attend kink events and alternative clubs, and I’ve never been treated with such disrespect, intolerance, and narrow-mindedness as I was here. To brand themselves as a progressive space while enforcing such discriminatory rules is not just hypocritical, it’s downright shameful. Places like this have no place in today’s world.

Very stylish club. The dance floor was small, not too small, which made it more intimate. The drinks are nicely made and the staff was very accommodating. We weren't thrilled with the single men allowed to wander the back areas, but we overcame it and they were polite enough. 😜 There's some cool nooks and everyone was very friendly and sexy. Hot couples everywhere of course, it was fashion week after all!
