Petit Ami is an erotic specialist shop on Breiter Weg in Magdeburg, selling toys for women, couples and men, fashion and lingerie, drugstore items and fetish products. The business was founded in June 1990 and for almost 20 years ran Beate Uhse licence shops; after Beate Uhse's insolvency it was renamed Petit Ami in 2019. It was my first time in the store, and I found it really lovely and well-organized. The saleswoman immediately asked if she could help and showed me where to sit. Even those with a bit more to their liking can find something. The selection was good; the only thing that bothered me slightly was the limited color selection, as it wasn't mostly black, but that's a minor point. I will definitely visit the store again. And many thanks to the friendly and helpful employee.
After driving past the shop several times, I finally ventured inside. Unfortunately, I can confirm some of the comments here. There's a decent selection, but it's presented rather haphazardly (boxes look crammed together, some are damaged, and products are lying on the floor under the shelves). While there are testers at the checkout, they were dusty, and the counter itself seemed quite cluttered. On the plus side, the saleswoman was very friendly. All in all, it's a somewhat dated specialty shop with room for improvement.
I've enjoyed shopping at this well-run store for years because I always feel I receive excellent advice there.
However, due to my health, I'm currently hesitant to shop in stores. Fortunately, they've had an online shop for a few months now. This has meant that some Christmas presents have quickly and easily found their way under the tree without any stress 😄
As a Leipzig resident, I made a detour from the Christmas market to the shop. The attractive window display was the trigger. I was very surprised by how tidy and well-organized the shop was. Everything a specialist could want was available – a full range of products. The staff provided relaxed and helpful advice. Unfortunately, it's too far for me.
A decent selection, but it comes at a price. The service and advice are good for both women and men... A fitting room is also available! It's centrally located among countless other shops for shopping or just browsing. They also have a small (and quite attractive) selection of high heels!
