An Eroscenter is a large, usually multi-floor building of individually rented rooms — the bigger version of a Laufhaus, and generally found in bigger cities.
The model is the same: each worker rents her room and deals directly with customers, and the operator provides the premises. What changes with scale is the experience — several floors, more doors, and often a bar or common area on the ground floor, which a small Laufhaus will not have.
The name is German and the format is concentrated in Germany, though the term travels beyond it. Some venues use both words on the same signage, which is a reasonable clue that the distinction is about size rather than kind.

The smaller single-corridor version is a Laufhaus. German licensing for both is covered in brothels in Germany.
Nearly. Both are buildings of individually rented rooms; an Eroscenter is the larger, multi-floor version and more likely to have a bar or common area. Several venues use both terms interchangeably.
Both terms are in use, and German venues are the bulk of them.
