We drove into Belgium as if it were a confessional. Els sat beside me, singing along with Matthias Reim, while I thought about road tax and seatbelts. Around midnight, a blue sign appeared: Heppensesteenweg 78. She said: “Here, Harm… here the leather ends and the truth begins.” Inside, it was quiet. A bar with barrels, chains, chairs that dared to do more than talk. The air smelled of steel, latex, and honesty. A man nodded at us, in a tone of trust. Els walked around, touching leather as if she were visiting a museum. I thought of Johnny’s Vintage and Leathers on Etsy — the same dedication, only with better lighting. There was no music, only breathing and understanding. When someone asked if we came often, Els said: “We collect moments, not memberships.” Everyone nodded. No one asked further. 5 stars. Atmosphere: calm and sincere. Interior: sleek as a promise. Leather: of the purest kind — with history, not haste.

It is a very special place, you will always meet very interesting people. You will feel entering in a community. The regular workshops cover a lot of very interesting topics. The volunteers running the place are wonderful people, they really do the work out of passion.

First time visitor, hoping to be a regular. It was amazing I had a great time You can be yourself without fear of being judged, safety and professionalism was highly important to everyone there and the person who let us in was super excited and happy, they made us feel at home right away. Only complaint would be that it was too warm inside. And we didn't realize it was B.Y.O.G. Bring Your Own Gear. But we had a great time regardless. I didn't have the food, so I can't rate it. Next time we're going to bring a bunch of gear ❤️ We'll be back.. 😁
