It’s false publicity. The hotel it’s nothing like the pictures. It’s a very bad neighborhood. I tried to cancel but you have to cancel 48-72 hrs before check in date.

*CURRENTLY AT RIVET STAYS* Our family members from Sweden booked this place on Expedia. We arrive at the destination listed on Expedia but it was not the right address, we had to call the hotel to get the address. Then they say that there’s a $350 deposit and it takes a couple weeks to get back (expected from hotel) or you pay $50 on the spot to get the key and don’t get it back? Why is a hotel giving travellers an ultimatum that makes them choose the lesser because they’re afraid they won’t get their money back… the staff at the RivetStays (where the rooms are located) were less than helpful for anything. Didn’t tell us how to get to the rooms, where the keys go, etc. very disappointing stay and would highly NOT recommend.

Take one look at their Expedia posting, compare it to google earth and actual photos of the hotel on Google. I was once naive (three days ago). Among other real postings, I found a decently priced (~250 a night) hotel in a high-rise, modern building. City view, with balcony? SOLD! Think again. I soon realized that the posting contained 100 fraudulent, stolen or fake, misleading images, when the real hotel is a known rundown budget hotel, previously containing a strip club😐 Not to mention, the building does not even have balconies, my god. Its a deliberate bait-and-switch scam, and I do not understand how Expedia allows it and whoever works at Filmores and declines customer refunds knowing this, is nothing short of morally reprehensible.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but my two-night stay at Filmores was very disappointing. Check-in took more than 30 minutes, even though I was exhausted from traveling. To make matters worse, the guest behind me was still waiting to check in hours later when I returned from dinner. The staff were unprofessional, openly swearing and making inappropriate comments while I was waiting to check-in. The room itself was fine and the location is convenient, but the service was unacceptable. I would not stay here again, and I recommend others think carefully before booking.

I was concerned about staying here due to there being a club downstairs. This place turned out to be nice. There was a vending machine. The receptionists and cleaning staff were kind and well responsive. Only thing to take note of is that there is a deposit of $50.
