CODEX is a kinky rave brand from Hannover — its own description is the art of techno & kink, joining techno, kinky club culture and aesthetic play spaces into a single night at the WDM Club.

The name is the idea: a codex as a shared understanding, an unspoken sign among the people who belong to it, with the dress code as the badge of membership. The organiser's line is that CODEX begins where ordinary nights end.

The dress code is compulsory and unusually welcoming in how it is written — black, white or colourful, from fetish to fantasy, playful or dark, loud or mysterious, and newcomers explicitly invited to send a photograph in advance if they are unsure. What it will not admit is everyday clothing.
