Running through all of it are open-floor discussions on content creation, marketing and monetisation, technology demonstrations, and a social programme that is as much the point as the sessions — Miami's reputation rests on the deals made around the pool rather than in the panel rooms.

The conference also stages its own awards for the creator side of the industry, keeping the recognition close to the audience the event is built for rather than deferring everything to the January ceremony in Los Angeles.

Held at a single South Beach hotel rather than a convention centre, XBIZ Miami is the more approachable of the two XBIZ conferences and the usual recommendation for anyone attending their first adult industry event.
