La Licorne d'Or is a libertine sauna club outside Carpentras in the Vaucluse, set back off the Voie de Monteux on the Chemin de Charpaud with its own private car park — the club publishes its coordinates and a set of driving directions rather than a street number, and asks you to park on its own lot before coming in.

Its own account of the place is a sauna, a hammam and a whirlpool bath, with eight salons, a bar, a fireplace, an outdoor patio, a dungeon and two television lounges. Sarongs, towels and robes are provided.

Afternoons are the backbone of the week: mixed openings every afternoon from 13:30 to 18:00, and from 14:00 at weekends. Two evenings run as well, Thursday and Saturday from 21:00, and Wednesday and Saturday afternoons are bisexual sessions; the last Wednesday of the month is a gang bang. Several house rules are firmly stated: nobody is admitted after midnight, no alcohol is sold on the premises, single men are selected at the door, cheques are not accepted, and flip-flops or sliders are recommended. The club takes questions by email only and says so explicitly — it will not give information by telephone.
