Das Tropicana ist das berühmteste Kabarett in der Karibik, das seit 1939 im Stadtteil Marianao von Havanna geöffnet ist und weitgehend unter freiem Himmel unter den Bäumen aufgeführt wird. Die Revue beschäftigt etwa zweihundert Performer in aufwendigen Kostümen, und die Show hat sich in Format und Ablauf über acht Jahrzehnte hinweg kaum verändert.

Es gehört als Revue-Veranstaltungsort in einen Erwachsenenführer: Die Tradition des Tropicana ist die Showgirl-Spektakel-Produktion in der gleichen Linie wie das Lido und die Folies Bergère, nicht ein Strip- oder Contact-Lokal. Es ist weiterhin ein staatlich betriebener Ort und eine der wichtigsten nächtlichen Attraktionen Havannas.

An incredible show with so much vibrancy and so much going on. Took the food/drink package - initially, you can feel a little disappointed with the food, as it is quite basic. But, considering the price included the three courses, a rum and coke and bottle of Havana Club 3 Anos and a can of cola AND many, many staff and dancers, you can start to appreciate how the money paid doesn't leave much room for a big spread.

Very positive experience here. Went with a tour group and I feel like the show was worth it. Yes it’s a late night, but just know that going in and the music and show is very lively and upbeat. If you’re in Havana for an evening and have time, it’s interesting. I didn’t eat there food.

Even though the Tropicana is notoriously a tourist trap, I think that it is worth at least one look. If you want a very interesting evening, I recommend you do what we did; we arrived way earlier than we needed to at like 7:30 pm. If you purchased the dinner tickets like us, they will seat you in their restaurant off to the side. While not the nicest place, it felt exclusive and almost like we were in the mafia. The food was fairly decent as well, drinks are not too expensive as far as tourist prices are concerned ($5 beer, $8 cocktails). Then the cabaret show was pretty good after all else! We did not get cigars though. All in all it was a cool experience, but definitely more of a one and done type thing.

One of the best shows I have seen. The club is fantastic and definitely worth a visit. The drinks were great albeit not free as the song suggests! Overall, a great night!

After reading some of the less flattering reviews I was skeptical but we were already booked. The show was absolutely fantastic. Hours of very skilled dancers well choreographed. Food was more snack than meal but we knew that in advance. I was very happy that we were able to see this wonderful and historic show.
