The Best Gentlemen's Clubs in Los Angeles (2026 Guide)

posted on 29/08/2026

Los Angeles has no strip club district and never has. The clubs sit where the zoning let them — Downtown, a stretch of Sunset, South Figueroa, West Pico — and you will drive to every single one. There is no version of this night that involves walking between two of them.

Six are worth the drive, ranked below. Erotic Advisor carried 28 active Los Angeles venues in this category when the list was compiled on 29 August 2026, and a striking number of those records point at websites that no longer belong to the club.

The six best gentlemen's clubs in Los Angeles

What puts a club at the top

We rank on the room, the hours and how much of an evening the place can actually carry — which in a city this spread out matters more than it does anywhere else. If you have driven forty minutes, you want somewhere you can stay.

Sam's Hofbrau takes first place for exactly that reason. It is on East Olympic Boulevard in Downtown, it opens at 11am and runs to 2am every day, and it is a restaurant, a sports bar and a billiards room as well as a club. It is the only venue here you could reasonably arrive at for lunch.

Spearmint Rhino's Downtown room is second on scale and consistency. World Famous Seventh Veil on Sunset is third and is the Hollywood institution of the group — smaller, older, and the one with an actual reputation attached to the name.

Rio on South Figueroa is fourth and the most consistently well regarded of the southern clubs. Silver Reign in West LA is fifth, and Plan B on West Pico is sixth, which puts two of the six on the west side if that is the half of the city you are staying in.

The list stops at six, and it stops there for an unusual reason: several of the names that ought to be on it can no longer be verified as trading at all. That is covered below, because in this city it is the single most useful thing to know.

Check the club exists before you drive to it

Los Angeles has the worst rate of dead and hijacked club websites of any city we have looked at. Two well-known Hollywood names still listed in published guides now have domains that serve online gambling sites — not a closure notice, not a holding page, but an entirely unrelated business that bought the expired domain. Several others simply do not resolve.

The practical consequence is that a search result, a guide from last year, or a map pin is not evidence that a Los Angeles club is open. Phone the club. If the number does not work either, it is not open.

This is also why the list above is six long rather than ten. There are more clubs in this city worth writing about; there are not more we could confirm were still trading on the day we checked.

What to know before you go

  • Phone ahead. This is not generic advice in Los Angeles — it is the main one, and the reason is above.
  • Plan the drive and the parking, and plan how you are getting home. Every club here assumes a car and the distances between them are real.
  • Check whether the club is fully nude or topless before you go, because in California that usually decides whether it serves alcohol.
  • Sam's Hofbrau is the only venue here open in the middle of the day, from 11am. Everything else is an evening.
  • Ask what a dance costs and whether there is a house fee before it starts.
  • Bring cash for tips even where the club takes cards.

If you want the vocabulary first, the glossary covers a lap dance, a private dance and a table dance, which are priced differently and are a common source of argument at the door.

Which is the best gentlemen's club in Los Angeles?

Sam's Hofbrau in Downtown. It opens at 11am and runs to 2am daily, and it works as a restaurant, sports bar and billiards room as well as a club, which makes it the one venue here worth a long drive. Spearmint Rhino's Downtown room is the pick if you want somewhere bigger and more conventional.

Where are the strip clubs in Los Angeles?

Nowhere in particular, which is the honest answer. There is no district. The clubs are scattered across Downtown, Hollywood, South Figueroa and the west side, and the drive between any two of them is a real journey. Pick one and build the night around it rather than planning a crawl.

Is anywhere open during the day?

Sam's Hofbrau opens at 11am every day. Everything else on this list opens in the evening. If you want a daytime venue in Los Angeles, that is effectively the answer.

Why are there only six clubs on this list?

Because those are the ones we could confirm were still trading from their own websites on the day the list was compiled. Los Angeles has an unusually high number of club listings whose websites are dead, unreachable or taken over by unrelated businesses, so a longer list would have meant including venues we could not stand behind.

How much does it cost?

It varies by club, by night and by what you order, and clubs change it without notice, so treat any published figure as an indication until you confirm it at the door. Entry, dances and drinks are separate costs. Ask about a house fee before a dance starts.

Do I need a car?

Effectively yes. Every club on this list assumes you are driving, and none of them are near each other. Factor in parking and a way home before you go, because a rideshare across Los Angeles at 2am is not a small line on the evening's bill.
