The Best Strip Clubs in Montreal

posted on 03/09/2026

Montreal has a strip-club scene with real range, and it splits along two axes: geography and format. Downtown, the clubs sit within a few blocks of each other around Sainte-Catherine Ouest and de la Montagne. Further north, Saint-Laurent above Sherbrooke has its own cluster. Quebec permits contact dances, which is the single biggest difference between a Montreal club and one in Toronto or New York, and it shapes what each room sells.

The order below is ranked on scale, location and what each club is genuinely good at rather than on how loudly it markets itself. It stops where the evidence stops, and it is not the whole city.

The eight, in order

Montreal strip clubs, ranked

Why this order

Chez Parée leads because it is the one club every source agrees on. It has been the downtown default for decades, it is the most likely to feel like an occasion rather than a night out, and it is the safest recommendation for someone who has never been to a Montreal club.

Wanda's is a close second and the better choice if you want a room rather than a production - it sits on de la Montagne, a short walk from Chez Parée, so the two are easy to compare in one evening. Kamasutra on Saint-Dominique is the pick if contact dancing is the point; it makes no attempt to be a steakhouse.

Kingdom on Saint-Laurent is the largest of the northern cluster. Cabaret les Amazones is well west of the centre on Saint-Jacques, which makes it a destination rather than a stop on a crawl - worth it if you want somewhere that is not full of visitors. Club Sex Appeal and Bar Downtown are both on Sainte-Catherine within a couple of hundred metres of each other, and both lean toward groups.

Campus is last on this list only because it is a different thing: it is a male-dancer club on Sainte-Catherine Est in the Village, and if that is what you are looking for it is the first name on the list, not the eighth.

Where they are

  • Downtown, around Sainte-Catherine Ouest and de la Montagne: Chez Parée (1258 Stanley), Wanda's (1458 de la Montagne), Club Sex Appeal (381 Sainte-Catherine Ouest), Bar Downtown (1200 rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest)
  • Saint-Laurent and Saint-Dominique, north of Sherbrooke: Kamasutra (3580 rue Saint-Dominique), Kingdom (1417 boulevard Saint-Laurent)
  • The Village, Sainte-Catherine Est: Campus (1111 Sainte-Catherine Est)
  • West of the centre: Cabaret les Amazones (6820 Saint-Jacques)

Every address above was read off the venue's own website on the day this was written. Four of the eight are within a fifteen-minute walk of each other, which is why downtown Montreal works as a crawl in a way that most cities do not.

What this list leaves out

Three clubs that appear in Montreal guides are missing here for one reason: we do not have listings for them yet. The most notable is Café Cléopatra on Saint-Laurent, which has been part of the city's nightlife for decades and which any honest account of Montreal would include. Stock Bar and Bar Mania are the other two. We would rather say that plainly than pad the list or quietly present eight venues as though they were all of them.

Montreal strip clubs: common questions

Are contact dances legal in Montreal strip clubs?

Contact dancing is a normal part of the format in Quebec, and it is the main thing that distinguishes a Montreal club from one in Toronto or most US cities. What any individual club offers is set by that club, so ask at the door rather than assuming.

Which Montreal strip club should a first-time visitor pick?

Chez Parée on Stanley. It is the one venue that appears in every Montreal guide we compared, it is central, and it is the most likely to feel like a planned evening rather than a wander. Wanda's on de la Montagne is a five-minute walk away if you want to see a second room the same night.

Are Montreal's strip clubs walkable from each other?

Four of the eight are - Chez Parée, Wanda's, Club Sex Appeal and Bar Downtown all sit within about fifteen minutes' walk downtown. Kamasutra and Kingdom are a separate cluster up on Saint-Dominique and Saint-Laurent, and Cabaret les Amazones on Saint-Jacques is far enough west that you would travel to it deliberately.

Is there a male-dancer strip club in Montreal?

Campus, at 1111 Sainte-Catherine Est in the Village. It is on this list as the eighth entry because the list is ordered for a general reader, but if male dancers are what you are after it is the place to start.

How much does a night at a Montreal strip club cost?

None of these eight publishes a cover charge or a dance price on its website, so we do not quote one. Prices change and are set at the door, so confirm at the venue before you commit to anything.
