You can walk the whole ranking in twenty minutes, which is precisely why the city has a reputation for taxi drivers who take you somewhere else.
That warning is not folklore — it is the standing advice of Prague's own guides, and the mechanism is simple: a driver gets paid for delivering customers to a club that is not the one you named. The defence is equally simple. Know the address before you get in, and walk if you can, because from most of the old town you can.

A men's show for women, which is a different night out
One Prague venue is not comparable to the six above and should not be ranked against them. Nemáš Zač is a male dance show for women — hen parties, mostly — staged inside the Tresor Club on Vinohradská. It trades one night a week, on Saturdays, with the show itself running from 10:30pm. Before you go
- Know the address and go there. The taxi-diversion problem is the one piece of advice every Prague guide agrees on, and most of these venues are walkable from the old town anyway.
- Ask about entry, drinks and dance pricing at the door, and get it clearly. Several Prague clubs price dances separately from entry, so ask for the full picture.
- These are late venues, not evening ones. Most open at 8 or 9pm and run until 5 or 6am; a 10pm arrival is early here.
- Phone ahead at the weekend. Several of the clubs are small, and Prague takes a lot of stag and hen traffic.
