Nimhneach

Nimhneach is Dublin's fetish and BDSM club night, running since 2005, held on the third Saturday of the month at The Sound House — the first floor of The Wiley Fox on Eden Quay. The organiser has announced three dates: Saturday 19 September, Saturday 17 October and Saturday 21 November 2026, each from 9.30pm to 2.30am.

The club is self-contained, with a bar, a club area, play equipment including an A-frame, a St Andrew's cross and a spanking bench, DJs, a smoking area, a changing room, a cloakroom and toilets — and, as the organiser puts it, no mixing with vanilla customers. It describes the night as one for socialising with other kinky people and playing if you want to, and says plainly that there is no pressure to play.

Everyone aged 18 and over is welcome, and the club states it is inclusive of all genders and sexual orientations, with safe, sane and consensual as its core values. Two limits come from the building rather than the club: it operates in a licensed premises, so full frontal nudity and sex on site are not permitted. Drugs are strictly prohibited.

The dress code is compulsory and judged at the door — vinyl, PVC, rubber, latex and fancy lingerie, and no street or casual wear at all. The organiser advertises tickets for the September night at 25 euro, an advertised figure rather than a quoted rate, so confirm at the point of purchase; the October and November dates are announced without a price and the organiser says tickets go on sale a few weeks ahead. A limited number is sold on the door, cash or card, first come first served, and once those are gone there is no entry.
