CNTDWN Events has one of the better origin stories in the Dutch scene. During the pandemic a group of friends spent their time counting down to the next party — aftellen — and when it was finally possible they threw a birthday party in the garden. That grew into an organisation putting on kinky parties in unusual buildings around Eindhoven, with a stated ambition to give guests a new experience each time rather than the same night in a different room.

Two concepts carry the brand. KILT — Kinky In Light Town is the first large kinky party in Eindhoven, normally held in the city's oldest cinema, where the auditoria are turned into dance rooms. Gladiatrix is the newer and more theatrical one, described by the organisers as a travelling circus always looking for the most unusual venues; its editions are built as arenas, with a main floor, a second stage and a dedicated show area for play.

The dress code is compulsory and material-based across both: lacquer, leather, latex, rubber, metal, PVC, harnesses and cross-dress. Gladiatrix goes further and quantifies it — fabric is allowed but no more than twenty per cent of an outfit — and the organisers are blunt that expression, fantasy and creativity are not merely appreciated but essential. The judgement of the doorbitch is binding, and their own summary is hard to misread: the right clothing, mindset and behaviour, or it is quickly goodbye again.

One house rule stands out and is worth knowing before you arrive: phones are banned inside. They go in a locker, and taking your own photographs is not allowed — the parties publish an official photo link afterwards instead.
