LSPlayground is a Colorado lifestyle community that runs its own programme of socials, workshops and party weekends across the Front Range. It owns no premises: its regulars are held in bars and a coffee house, and its big nights are hotel takeovers.

The calendar has two halves. The low-key half runs all year — a monthly happy hour in Denver, a bi-monthly one in Colorado Springs, and a Sunday-morning coffee meet in Arvada that exists so people can meet in daylight with their clothes on before they meet anywhere else. The other half is the parties: themed nights, and hotel takeovers the organisers describe as luxury hotels transformed into all-inclusive playgrounds with themed rooms and entertainment.

Membership comes first. The community is private and application-based, and the organisers lean hard on discretion, boundaries and consent in their own copy — one of the member quotes they publish singles out 'consent, consent, consent' as the thing the events get right. Alongside the parties they run workshops on sexual wellness, intimacy, safer practice and consent.
