about

Sauna Icaunais is a mixed sauna in Auxerre, in northern Burgundy — 'Icaunais' being the word for someone from the Yonne.

The site publishes little beyond its address and telephone number, and no opening hours, so it is worth calling before setting out. When these details were read the sauna had posted a notice that it was closed that particular evening for an unforeseen reason, which is a fair sign that its schedule moves.

The clientele is almost exclusively male, which is a shame. But otherwise, they offer nice facilities. The rooms are very pleasant. We enjoyed it, even if it was sometimes a bit dark.

Great place, very friendly owner. Perfect spot for exploring. Excellent value for money. Great atmosphere. We'll be back, we're not far away.

The place is great, and we often have a good time there; however, there are a few simple things that could be done. For example, the sauna bench has been broken for a long time. The bench in the video room is also ripped open and worn out.

As a regular, I enjoy going there quite often for fun and relaxation. It's great that it's now possible to go in the evening (especially on Fridays) to meet couples and women. Nice new layout and Jonathan is cool.

I went there for the first two times in December 2024. I received a fantastic welcome; the man at reception was incredibly kind and explained everything clearly. The staff are friendly and never pressure you to do anything. I'll definitely be going back often to relax in the lounge or the sauna, haha!
