L'Érolys is a libertine club at Cangey in Indre-et-Loire, in the vineyards between Amboise and the Loire châteaux. It presents itself as more than a club — an artistic programme, signature cocktails and a team to match — and says plainly where it came from: the Karma club is gone, and L'Érolys was born in its place.

Its own tour of the place runs through a zone coquine of dimly lit playrooms with mirrored light, a massage zone, and a balneo area included in admission along with the cloakroom, a locker, a towel and two soft drinks. It opens Friday and Saturday nights and on Sunday afternoons, and it also arranges accommodation for guests travelling in.

The house rules are its own and firmly stated: groups of men are not admitted, phones may not be used inside, and the management reserves the right of admission. There is a published dress code — shirt or polo for men, no joggers, caps, branded t-shirts or trainers, jeans allowed but neither torn nor faded.
