SMania Nürnberg e.V. runs a BDSM venue on the Schnieglinger Straße in Nuremberg-Schniegling. It has been an open meeting point for people interested in BDSM since the late nineties — more than thirty years, by its own count — and became a registered association in 2021. The location is run entirely by volunteers and is known well beyond the city.

Alongside its regular open meetings it puts on themed parties of its own: a rope jam in the cellar it calls the Fesselkeller, on the first Sunday of every odd month; a pet play party; YoungBDSM, a play party for anyone under 35 whether it is their first real party or their hundredth; and Find your Match, a play-and-meet night for people looking, whether for a play dynamic or for something more. Its opening times have changed and are now given per event on its own calendar.
