Chateau Royal is a couples club in the Siebengebirge above Bad Honnef, in a former hunting lodge on the Schmelztalstraße — the club still calls the premises the Jagdhaus, and notes that it parks campervans as easily as cars. By its own description it is the largest and best-known pure Pärchenclub for couples and single women in North Rhine-Westphalia, and it keeps to weekends: Fridays from 19:00 and Saturdays from 19:30, both running well into the night.

The club spreads over three levels and eight rooms. Its own equipment list runs to a bar, a dance floor, a cuddle corner, a couples area, a sauna, a massage area, a BDSM area, a PT cave, a cinema, a fireplace room, a water bed, themed rooms, make-up tables, lockers and showers, with a terrace and a planted outdoor area for smokers and for sitting out. An exclusive buffet comes with the evening, and the club runs a regular programme of special events — Trio nights, FKK specials and seasonal parties among them.

Admission is strictly couples and single women, with one documented exception: on announced Trio evenings a couple may bring one single man whom they have authenticated, and he stays with them for the evening. Single men cannot register alone. Guests accept the club rules when they register for an event, and the club enforces them at the door and inside; cannabis in any form is banned outright on the house and grounds. There is no card payment inside the club, phones and valuables go in lockable lockers, and a groomed dress code in keeping with the surroundings is expected.
