Avantgarde is a swingers club in Plauen, in the Vogtland corner of Saxony, easily reached from any direction on the A72. Its strapline is to enjoy with all the senses, and it promises tasteful evenings and crackling eroticism in a clean, well-kept setting.

You register before you come — through JOYclub, through the club's own form or by telephone — rather than turning up. The dress code is taken seriously and spelled out at length: anything sexy is welcome, elegant or erotic, patent leather, leather, latex or a full fetish outfit, and black, white or red is never wrong. Everyday clothes are not welcome, and the club is explicit that it will turn people away at the door for jeans, trainers or a printed shirt. Themed parties ask you to dress to the theme.

There is parking directly at the club and on the square in the Mozartstraße.
