Play Thessaloniki runs the Play Area on Odysseos in the Vardaris district of Thessaloniki — a cinema-cabin venue that opened in 2014 as the first of its kind in the city, spread over three floors and nearly 300 m².

The cabins come in different sizes, from one with a single leather chair up to one holding a whole bed or a swing, and films are picked on a touch-screen from thousands of titles. Around them are corridors, dark spaces, rooms with holes, a home-cinema hall, an internal courtyard, a room the business calls the clinic and a chill-out area, all air-conditioned and ventilated. The decor is lifted from the sets of erotic films.

The same premises holds a sex shop the business calls the best-stocked gay one in the city, with a good range of straight toys too. It says couples, cross-dressers, trans people and visitors of all ages come, and that it has staged live sex shows, swingers parties, fisting nights and naked afternoons at various times.
