Imperial Meeting Point is a private social club in the heart of Barcelona's Eixample, on Carrer d'Aribau. It runs as an association: to get through the door you register, either in advance on its own site or at reception on the night, and the club is explicit that the one thing it asks for above all else is attitude — good energy, and a willingness to let go of inhibition.

The programme is kinky, fetish and BDSM, alongside gay nights, and it runs under a set of named strands rather than as a single club night. Kinky Academy and Baila Conmigo sit on the social side; Berlina, Unholy, Imperium, Pandemonium, House of Fetish and MEN4PLAY run as parties, with sex-positive nights among them.

The house rules are stated more plainly than most. Everything is built strictly on mutual consent, and the club puts it bluntly: no means no, and maybe means no. Crossing someone's limits will get you out faster than you came in — the club says outright that desire only exists where there is respect, so do not assume and do not invade. It is also a strictly non-smoking building, and the association enforces that throughout.
