East Side Club is a gay bathhouse in Midtown East, Manhattan — a private club for gay and bisexual men on the sixth floor of 227 East 56th Street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenue. Open since 1976, it describes itself as the last bathhouse still operating in New York City. It has lockers, private rooms in four sizes, a dry sauna, a steam room, showers and a TV and movie lounge. Entry requires membership and a valid photo ID (18+), there are no reservations or dress code, and the club is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
