Hotel Onyx is a couples' hotel near the centre of Ghent, on the Schoolkaai, where couples book a private room for a few hours. Booking is by reservation, by phone or WhatsApp.

Each of its themed rooms — Sunyata, Atlantis, New York, Paris, Lala Land and Las Vegas among them — has its own bathroom, and several are equipped for more than sleeping: a tantra chair in New York, a massage table and a toy case in Lala Land, a swing chair in Las Vegas. Two rooms have a terrace.

I went there on July 21st with a friend I don't see very often, and we were very well received. We had a good coffee, the room was super clean with lighting, a TV, a very nice shower and toilet, and some nice amenities. I would gladly go back with my friend or others.

For the first time on Saturday I stayed with my husband in a room (teenagers in the house). The person was very friendly and the room we got was perfect, on the contrary. I am curious about the other rooms and will definitely go there again with my husband if we ever want to escape from home.

The reason why is private ;-). But what a lovely experience we had here yesterday. Incredibly neat, large room with a super friendly welcome. Minibar at very reasonable prices. A gigantic bed with super white sheets. Radio and TV available (we left the fireplace on, but anyone who wants something spicier can do that too). We will definitely be back!

A discovery in Ghent! Clean rooms with amenities. The top floor rooms have a terrace for smokers with a view over Ghent. Shower and toilet in the room and friendly staff at the reception. 2 free drinks (soft drinks) with bookings of 2 hours or more. We come back regularly!
