Two streets, four clubs
If you only have one night, the geography does the planning for you. King Street holds Centrefold Lounge at number 22 and Spearmint Rhino at number 14 — the first bills itself as Melbourne's largest, the second is part of an international chain, and they are a few doors apart. Lonsdale Street holds The Men's Gallery at 601 and Goldfingers at 584, at opposite ends of one block. Dreams is around the corner on Elizabeth Street.
That density is unusual and it cuts both ways: it makes comparing rooms in a single evening genuinely practical, and it means a club that is quiet at 9pm may be full at midnight simply because the group ahead of you moved down the street.
