about

Laufhaus Minden is a Laufhaus — a house of individually rented apartments from which women work independently — at An der Pforte 1 in Porta Westfalica, North Rhine-Westphalia. Despite the name it is not in Minden itself but in the neighbouring town about eight kilometres away, in the Lerbeck district, and its own pages give the Porta Westfalica address. It is run by a letting company, Das Labyrinth Vermietung und Verwaltung GmbH.

The house presents itself on its position: at the motorway junction linking Hannover, Dortmund, Bad Oeynhausen and the Amsterdam route, close to the main station, and placed midway between Hannover and Bielefeld — a location it argues keeps it clear of direct competition from other houses in the region. Arrivals are met by a member of staff and shown to the apartment, and the house makes a point of having permanent staff on hand.

What the website does not do is address visitors. It is written for the women renting the apartments — it advertises daily check-in from nine in the morning with no deposit required, and states plainly that enquiries are answered only from prospective tenants. As a result the house publishes no visiting hours, no prices and no description of services, and none is claimed here. The telephone number and a WhatsApp line are for room enquiries.

As always, I want to emphasize upfront that this is more about the location than the services the women offer: As with everything, there's likely a range of opinions (from positive to negative) that makes evaluating the actual offerings very difficult. The establishment, also known as "PW2," is, to my knowledge, the only place of its kind nearby; the closest ones are in Bielefeld, Hanover, and Bünde. Anonymity: There are parking bays in front of the building and a parking lot behind it that is quite secluded from the street and monitored by video surveillance. The building is located directly on the B482 and is easily accessible from the A2 motorway/Porta Westfalica exit. The only potential issue is that a man might be observed turning off his car. During the day, this isn't a problem due to the industrial area (recycling center), but in the evenings, the brothel and the adjacent clubhouse are the only "visitor magnets." You can enter the basement directly from the parking lot or from the street "An der Pforte 1" through the (front) main entrance. Oh yes, access is only permitted for adults (according to the sign at the main entrance, 21 years and older), and photography/videography is (understandably) prohibited. Location: The building is quite neglected (and not to say run-down) in places, especially in the hallways. It hasn't been maintained for a long time. It's also quite a maze of layout. The "SG Club" is also located in the building, but here I'm only referring to the actual building, or rather, the brothel. There's also a room with a pool table near the guest restrooms. If you want to do a tour, it's quite difficult to walk through in such a way that you only cover each area once. I recommend parking behind the building, entering through the main entrance, going up to the first floor, walking through the hallway, and then back down the rear staircase. Afterward, return through the hallway to the main entrance and take the small staircase on the left down to the basement. Anyone who goes through will eventually end up back in the parking lot. My three stars are based on the lack of its former glory and the rather confusing layout across three floors. Opening Hours / Services / Prices: The staff changes quite a bit, so check relevant websites to see who's there or check in person. I noticed several women I wanted to see the next day who were unfortunately no longer there. So, it's a good idea to ask directly how long the women will be there. It's quite busy between 8 and 10 pm. Prices start at €50 for 20 minutes with the women I contacted. Some rooms are supposed to be available from 10 am. I didn't notice any trans men. I'm also not entirely sure if the opening hours listed on the website are correct. Conclusion: The Minden brothel is a typical brothel, geared more towards customers in a hurry. The hallways and rooms aren't high-end (which brothel is??), but it's conveniently located and offers good anonymity. You need a bit of stamina/intensity to get up and down the hallways. It's not on one level like in Bielefeld, but it also doesn't span multiple floors like in Hanover. It's a basement, ground floor, and first floor. Whether you can quickly unwind here after a long day is something I would say isn't the case (due to the often-lacking shower facilities for clients), but many other clients probably disagree. Generally, I can only recommend that everyone treat the women with respect and dignity, and not as objects. A friendly greeting in return (if approached) should be possible. Furthermore: brothels are not "meat markets" or zoos!

The red light is usually distracting, but it doesn't look bad nonetheless. More attractive at night than during the day. Unfortunately, long-distance trains pass by. I hope for a brothel at the main train station soon.
