Caliente is a gated, adults-only, clothing-optional resort on Gran Via Boulevard in Land O' Lakes, north of Tampa, and it has been trading under that name since 2003. The resort puts its own pitch plainly: the most luxurious clothing-optional experience you can imagine, whether you simply enjoy being nude or you are looking to discover your more daring side.

It is a place to stay rather than a night out. Accommodation runs to hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom condos and casitas, and is booked by request — no card is taken up front, and a reservation specialist calls back to confirm. Access is by membership, with day memberships available for visitors who are not staying over.
