The Green Door is a lifestyle club on East Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas, which says it has been open since 1998 in a building of more than twelve thousand square feet. It describes itself simply as a safe place for consenting adults to play, and is emphatic that nobody has to join in — its own FAQ answers the question with "absolutely not, unless you want to", and it calls the atmosphere no-pressure.

There is no invitation, no sponsor and no reservation. You can pay at the door all night at the cashier cage, or take a membership; neither needs approving.

Privacy is a house rule rather than a promise: no cameras and no recording devices of any kind are allowed inside, and the club says it shares information with nobody. There is a dress-to-impress code, stricter for single men.

It opens at eight in the evening Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday until five in the morning, and Friday and Saturday until six. Monday and Tuesday it is closed.
