Electricity Social Club — ESC — is a lifestyle club on Manton Avenue in Olneyville, Providence, in a former industrial building whose plain exterior gives nothing away. Inside it opens out into a loft-style room, and the club's own line is that this is where your nights come alive.

The bar is BYOB, with cups, ice and mixers provided and staff who keep the glasses filled. Beyond it is a large dance floor with a full sound and lighting rig and a reinforced pole for anyone bold enough to use it. Around the club are multiple playrooms, laid out so you can choose privacy or be watched, with towels, lube and condoms supplied. For those who want more, there is a dungeon — fully equipped, and staffed by people happy to show you the ropes. There are also lounging and changing areas, secure lockers, and a ventilated indoor smoking lounge.

Entry is by membership. On a first visit you show ID, the club takes basic details into a confidential record and issues a personalised card for faster entry afterwards. Membership is separate from the fee for each party, and the door is cash only. Alongside its own themed nights — Leather & Lace, Menage a Trois, Sexy Sundays and others — ESC hosts outside producers, including a Shibari and BDSM night and parties brought in by Rhody Boats.
